Welcome to DVDCollectors.co.uk, this website is all about your DVD collections, how to:

  • store your DVDs
  • watch your DVDs
  • buy your DVDs
  • sell your DVDs
  • show off your DVD collection
  • keep track of what's in your DVD collection

This website aims to state the obvious wherever possible so that failure in understanding the importance of your DVD collection is minimised.

Remember the following rules and your DVD collection will be preserved in it's finest glory for all to see and appreciate:

The DVD Collection 10 Commandments:

  1. There is nothing more important than your DVD collection, not even sex.
  2. DVD collections must be kept in alphabetical order so that it is easy to find the one you want. You may categorise your DVDs into different types e.g. Action/Adventure but they must remain in alphabetical order within those categories.
  3. DVDs must be stored in a bookcase, cabinet or shelf and not in a heap on the floor. The cat won't be able to take a pee on them if they are stored in a suitable container. To view a list of DVDCollector registered storage units click here.
  4. You may watch your DVD on your television set (via a DVD player), on your computer or on a portable DVD player. It is no good staring at the underside of the disk - nothing will happen! To view a list of DVDCollector registered DVD viewing devices click here.
  5. WASH YOUR HANDS before handling your DVD disks. Jam, peanut butter and other assorted condiments can cause your DVDs to get stuck inside your player or get stuck on anything they come into contact with (especially pets).
  6. Use a fine cloth duster to clean your DVD cases. Do not use any detergent-based products in cleaning, especially ones strong enough to dissolve your disk.
  7. Use only specialist DVD cleaning products to clean you DVD disks. To view a list of DVDCollector registered DVD cleaning products click here.
  8. Do not use your DVD as a replacement frisbee.
  9. Hide your pornographic DVDs when your parents/grandparents come round to visit. To view a list of DVDCollector registered DVD hiding places click here.
  10. Do not burn your DVDs. Setting them on fire will make them unwatchable.
